BIO - Pamela M. Nadalini, MBA, CMC, City Auditor and Clerk, Sarasota, Florida

Mrs. Pamela M. Nadalini is currently one of three Charter Officials for the City of Sarasota, Florida in the position of City Auditor and Clerk.

She began with the City of Sarasota in 1985 as a Senior Clerk in the Finance Department. Over the next five years she received several promotions that later placed her in the position of Administrative Assistant to Finance Director in the Finance Department. In 1990 another promotion placed her in the position of Deputy City Auditor and Clerk of Administrative Operations within the Office of the City Auditor and Clerk.

During this tenure, she was inspired to further her education and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Eckerd College. She further enhanced her education by obtaining certifications and licenses as a Certified Mobile Signing Agent, Licensed Real Estate Sales Associate, Mortgage Broker and after graduating from the Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI) Designation, a Real Estate Broker.  In August 2012, she received her Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC).  She has also been a Notary Public in the State of Florida for over 20 years.  Most recently, Mrs. Nadalini earned a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Global Business Management from American Public University in November of 2012. 

On February 25, 2010, Mrs. Nadalini made history by becoming the first woman and first African American since the City of Sarasota's incorporation on October 14, 1902 to hold a Charter Official position when the City Commission appointed her to fill the position of City Auditor and Clerk.

There are several divisions under the umbrella of the Office of the City Auditor and Clerk that Mrs. Nadalini is responsible for which consists of Central Records, Internal Audit, Pension Administration, Communications, Duplicating Services and Development Applications. She is also a former Executive Director of the ManaSota League of Cities, Secretary and Treasurer of the Police Officers' and Firefighters' Pension Board, and Secretary of the General Employees' Pension Board and the Employee Retirement Account Committee.  She previously served on the Board of Florida Women in Government as President and initiated the local chapter in the City of Sarasota at City Hall.

Mrs. Nadalini has affiliations with a number of organizations, past and present, which include: The Board of Florida Women in Government as President, Florida Association of City Clerks, National Forum for Black Public Administrators, National Notary Association, National Certified Notary Association of Signing Agents, American Society of Notaries, American Notary Network, National Association of Female Executives, National Association of Realtors, Florida Association of Realtors, Sarasota Association of Realtors, MLX Exchange, LoopNet Commercial Real Estate Network and Certified House Values University, International Institute of Municipal Clerks, The Institute of Internal Auditors, and the Association of Local Government Auditors.
